Housing Case Management
The Housing Case Management Program
addresses the needs of people living
with HIV/AIDS who face homelessness,
the threat of homelessness, poorly coordinated
care for their disease and/or related
conditions. The program assists clients
in locating, acquiring, financing and
maintaining affordable and appropriate
housing. Services include formulating
housing plans, assisting clients in
applying for housing assistance and
moving into housing, educating clients
about tenant rights and responsibilities,
and acting as an ongoing liaison between
clients, property owners and case managers.
Housing Information Services Clearinghouse
(HISC)
HISC assists people
living with HIV/AIDS to find:
- Emergency, transitional and permanent
or supportive housing to prevent homelessness.
- Information and referrals to an array
of housing options in Los Angeles County.
- Information via the Web site for individuals
moving into a new home or apartment.

AIDS
Project Los Angeles manages www.aidshousingla.com
for Los Angeles County. The site contains
the full range of housing options
for people living with HIV/AIDS, including
emergency housing facilities, permanent
housing options, and facilities for
those with substance addictions and/or
domestic violence issues. The site
provides
information on more than 100 different
locations throughout the county.

Energy Management Assistance
The Energy Management Assistance Program (EMA) from Southern California Edison provides services and measures such as refrigerators, cooling systems and light bulbs that are designed to help low-income individuals conserve energy and reduce their eletricity costs. SCE pays all the cost of purchasing and installing the measures, which are free to eligible customers.
