Peer Support

The Peer Support Training Program provides training to Los Angeles community based organizations who have been awarded grants to provide Peer Support Services throughout Los Angeles County.

HIV Peer Support Services are designed to enhance the primary health care (medical outpatient services), oral health care, mental health services and the "wrap-around services" such as patient care coordination, language services and removal of barriers, within the HIV/AIDS continuum of care. Ultimately, Peer Support Services seek to enhance the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS by helping clients achieve a greater sense of empowerment, enabling them to advocate for themselves and providing them necessary skills for managing HIV/AIDS.

Please contact Homero del Pino at 213.201.1443 or send an e-mail to obtain more information.
