WINE WITH A PURPOSE
Enjoy fine wine for a good cause! Throughout September, the Valencia location of retailer Vino 100 will donate 10 percent of its Hope Wine Merlot sales to AIDS Project Los Angeles. Hope Wine, which gives half of its annual profits to partner charities, has designated sales of its Merlot to fight AIDS.

SUNSET STRIPS
More than 100 professional dancers will strut their stuff on stage at one of Hollywood’s hottest night spots for “Sunset Strips,” a provocative burlesque-style dance production to benefit AIDS Project Los Angeles and The Actors Fund.

Under the direction of award-winning choreographer Travis Payne, award-winning director David Galligan and renowned musical directors Michael Brennan (Las Vegas’s “Le Reve”) and Brian Perry (L.A.’s “Wicked”), professional dancers from film, television and stage will bare (almost) all during this one-night only event. Popular celebrities will join the fun in cameo appearances.

HIV MATTERS: XVII INTERNATIONAL AIDS CONFERENCE, LOS ANGELES COMMUNITY UPDATE
Learn all the latest news from this year’s International AIDS Conference (IAC) in Mexico City. Presenters: Charles F. Farthing, M.D. (Merck), Ardis Moe, M.D. (UCLA CARE Center), Mark Katz, M.D. (Kaiser Permanente) and Evelyn Gonzalez-Figueroa, Ph.D (APLA International Programs) will review the latest findings in HIV/AIDS treatment, care and prevention and will take your questions. A buffet dinner will precede the program at 6:00 p.m. Presentations begin at 7:00 p.m.

AIDS WALK LOS ANGELES 2008
On October 19, more than 30,000 will take to the streets of West Hollywood and Los Angeles for the biggest AIDS fundraiser in Southern California! Sign up individually or as a team with friends, family, classmates and colleagues. Online registration opens in June.

Since its inception, AIDS Walk Los Angeles has raised more than $55 million (including a record-breaking $3.9 million during last year’s event!) for AIDS Project Los Angeles and other AIDS service organizations throughout Los Angeles County.
